Blake DuBose is President of DuBose Web Group and is a graduate of the Business and Psychology Schools at Newberry College. How the arrangement will work

We are seeking committed, enthusiastic, and creative independent contractors to assist in designing websites for small businesses and non-profit organizations. When our requests by customers exceed our internal capacity to perform the work, we will contact our independent contractors to determine if they are interested in an assignment. The contractor will have the right to accept or decline the proposed project. In normal circumstances, we will coordinate most customer communications and handle all of the administrative work like billing. Contractors will represent themselves as with the DuBose Web Group and in some cases, communicate directly with the client and others situations, all communications will proceed through a group leader from the customer to the contractor. The contractor will be able to accomplish the work on their own schedule, but with certain time bench marks.


Under certain conditions, we may refer the customer to the contractor or his/her company in return for a commission. We may pay contractors by the hour for services rendered or issue a set price to perform all the customer-requested activities. All payments will be made as an independent contractor who will be responsible for all taxes and will be issued an IRS Form 1099 at the end of the year.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of website design experience
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Must be detailed oriented

Recommended Experience - will vary among applicants

  • Dynamic Content (e.g., ASP or PHP)
  • Website database technologies
  • Macromedia Flash or Animation
  • Graphic Design
  • Search Engine Marketing
  • Excellent HTML Knowledge
