The Background Story
Since all of us at DuBose Web Group are animal lovers, this project was a real treat!
In partnership with Pawmetto Lifeline, HEART of the Midlands "Helps Every Animal Reach Tomorrow." Based in Columbia, SC, HEART was a newly formed not-for-profit animal rescue organization that was in need of a professional website presence that 1) displayed animals that urgently need a home 2) made it easy for an interested party to sign up as a placement partner, and 3) made it easy to contact HEART for sponsorships, donations, and other support.
Our team also developed several custom web applications for HEART:
- Success Story / Featured Animals Portal - HEART has full-access to manage success stories and featured animals. These areas help personalize the user experience and show animals that are in urgent need.
- Placement Partner Application - To sign up as a placement partner, our team set up a user-friendly, five-step application that allows the user to provide needed information and upload appropriate documentation.

We have really enjoyed working with DuBose Web Group in the development for our HEART website. The entire team showed genuine care and passion to make sure that every aspect of our website enhanced the HEART program and met our needs.
